The weekend is upon us, and that means it’s time to plan revelry and fun! That, of course, should involve dancing. Nothing says “Friday night” quite like putting on your dancing shoes after all! We have rounded up our favorite can’t miss list of dance floors to hit. Once you read this list, you won’t be able to stop yourself from grabbing your friends for a fun night out…

Apogee {2 West Erie Street, Chicago; 312.202.6060}

If you want to start the weekend early, mark your calendar for Thursday nights at Apogee. The hip rooftop lounge on top of the dana hotel and spa is bringing some weekend energy with their ‘Thursday Night Get Down,’ a weekly dance party starting at 9 PM. Featuring a rotating spotlight of the hottest DJ’s and live entertainment in the city, partygoers can partake in some seriously delicious (and Instaworthy) cocktails.

Fremont {15 West Illinois Street, Chicago; 312.874.7270}

If you want to dance from day to night, there is no better spot than Fremont. Their weekend brunches are legendary, complete with a DJ, donut wall, and bottomless mimosas with a variety of juice options. Don’t miss their many food stations when you need a break from the dance floor! You can keep the party going well into the night thanks to their menu of upgraded bar food. Wear comfy shoes, and get ready for a fun time!

Federales {180 North Morgan Street, Chicago; 773.831.9696}

The West Loop has plenty of bar options but none of them are quite like Federales. Their patio is year-round, but once it becomes open air, you can dance and drink under the stars. Grab a margarita or order Ice Shots to throw at their famous bell. Tacos, tequila and dancing shoes—what more could you ask for?

Hub 51 {51 West Hubbard Street, Chicago; 312.828.0051}

If you want to plan a larger-scale dance party for a birthday or special event, Hub 51 has plenty of private and semi-private rooms perfect for the occasion. Their bar area is also a great place to meet friends and colleagues for after-work happy hour. If those first few drinks lead into a Friday night dance-off in Sub 51, their lower-level dance bar, then all the better!

El Hefe {15 West Hubbard Street, Chicago; 312.54.6841}

Their margaritas are legendary and their second floor is ideal for holding a whole group of weekend dancers! Come for dinner, and stay to party the night away.

Park & Field {3509 West Fullerton Avenue, Chicago; 765.426.6657}

This is a name to save for all of spring and summer. Park & Field has a great outdoor space filled with games, fire pits, and plenty of space for cutting a rug if the mood hits. They also run a great brunch, so no matter the time of day, this is a gorgeous spot to linger over cocktails and fun times.
