Whether you’re waiting impatiently for the Easter Bunny, or just want another reason to herald spring in Chicago, Easter is the perfect holiday to gather your family for a delicious meal. You can start celebrating early with the city’s best bakery treats all week long but make sure to save room for the decadent brunch menus we have our eyes on. Here is the best of the best…

Bernie’s Lunch & Supper {660 North Orleans Street, Chicago; 312.624.9892}

Bernie’s Lunch & Supper will have you brunching with the best for Easter, thanks to à la carte specials in addition to their regular brunch menu on Easter Sunday from 10am-3pm. Specialty menu items include Pimiento-Cheese Deviled Eggs, Scotch Egg in the Hole, and Chocolate Pot de Crème for dessert! But their standard brunch menu is also delicious, with Lox and Pita, Croque Madame, and more.

Riccardo Trattoria {2119 North Clark Street, Chicago; 773.549.0038}

One of Chicago’s classic Italian spots has options galore for an Easter feast! Open from noon to 9 PM on the holiday, this Italian spot is offering an expansive menu. Start with Lobster Bisque, Octopus Carpaccio or Stuffed Calamari with lobster, crab meat, and saffron sauce. All these delights from the sea would pair well with their pasta course of Risotto Primavera with seasonal vegetables or Fettuccine Aragosta with lobster tail. But save room for the main event, with fish and meat options galore, as well as desserts like Profiteroles or Colomba, Easter sponge cake with Cognac and mascarpone mousse. With all these options and more, you can’t go wrong this Easter Sunday!

Veruca Chocolates {1332 North Halsted Street, Chicago; 773.998.2462}

Elevate your Easter with Veruca Chocolates. The Veruca Oreo Easter Eggs are hand painted dark chocolate shells filled with crushed Oreo-marshmallow; while The Golden Egg is a crazy 7-layer egg with two layers of sea salt caramel, two layers of peanut ganache, and a center layer of crunchy pretzel. You can also buy the eggs in mini versions, which come in both milk and dark chocolate as solid eggs, hand painted in spring hues. Place your orders now!

Spiaggia {2nd Floor, Suite 1, 980 North Michigan Avenue, Chicago; 312.280.2750}

For an elevated Easter experience, Spiaggia’s Chef/Partner Tony Mantuano and Executive Chef and Top Chef  Winner Joe Flamm have put together a four-course shared and individual brunch menu, inspired by the flavors and traditions of Sardinia. From a seasonal frittata to roasted lamb to swordfish with blood orange, this will be an Easter meal unlike any other. To finish, indulge in the Seadas, a Sardinian dessert consisting of deep-fried dumplings filled with Pecorino cheese, covered with honey and berries. Easter is the only time all year when Spiaggia is open for brunch, so don’t miss this rare and delicious opportunity!

Vanille {various locations}

Treat yourself all this week and on Easter Sunday with Vanille’s handmade Solid European Chocolate Bunnies, the bakery’s Speckle Cake, or a Breakfast Tray from their catering team. The kiddos can also Meet the Easter Bunny at their Hyde Park location on Saturday, March 31 from 10am to 3pm. Time to fill your Easter baskets!

Texas de Brazil {various locations}

On Easter Sunday, Texas de Brazil’s Chicago and suburban locations will open early at 11am, serving its full rodizio-style dinner menu all day, plus specialty brunch items like scrambled eggs, bacon, and croissants through 3pm. Whether you’re a breakfast lover or would prefer to indulge in their Australian Lamb Chops, this is the perfect place to take the whole family for Easter.
