Pumpkin Horchata Martini, Carnivale
Pumpkin spice isn’t the only fall themed drink available this season. Original cocktails inspired by the classic flavors of autumn have been popping up all over Chicago’s drink menus lately. From a cinnamon spiced martini to a warming twist on an old fashioned, here are our favorite fall beverages to warm you up this fall.
- Carnivale’s Pumpkin Horchata Martini {702 West Fulton Street, Chicago; 312.850.5005}: With real pumpkin purée, simple syrup, Jim Bean Vanilla, and a cinnamon sugar rim, this beverage gives pumpkin spice a run for its money.
- Z Bar’s Apple Manhattan {108 East Superior Street, Chicago; 312.573.6888}: Fall is all about apples at Z Bar. Stop in for an Apple Manhattan, or learn to make it yourself in their apple brandy and cider cocktails class!
- 312 Chicago’s Mieloso {136 North Lasalle Street, Chicago; 312.696.2420}: 312 didn’t skimp on the fall flavors with their brand new seasonal cocktail; the Mieloso is made with Jack Daniels Rye, Aperol, and honey-cranberry syrup.
- Loews Chicago O’Hare Hotel’s Fall Fashioned {5300 North River Road, Rosemont; 312.840.6600}: This twist on an old fashioned is the epitome of fall in a glass with cinnamon-clove simple syrup, cherry juice, and Angel’s Envy bourbon.
- Split Rail’s Eight Dolla Holla {2500 West Chicago Ave, Chicago; 773.697.4413}: Along with their menu revamp, Split Rail has debuted a new beverage list with plenty of seasonal offerings like the Eight Dolla Holla—a blend of bourbon, dry vermouth, and orange bitters for the perfect warm drink on a cold day.
- Chicago Chop House’s Al’s Old Fashioned {60 West Ontario Street, Chicago; 312.787.7100}: This fall, Chop House is highlighting the old school flavors of fall with Al’s Old Fashioned, the infamous Al Capone’s favored cocktail with a mix of rye whiskey, vermouth, and Campari. Stop in during happy hour for half off all drinks every day!
- Tortoise Supper Club’s Bijou {350 North State Street, Chicago; 312.755.1700}: Take a sip of something fancy with this jewel-inspired mixture of gin, green chartreuse, and vermouth representing diamonds, emeralds and rubies.
