With Chicago officially lighting up for the holiday season this weekend, it’s time to get festive! Visitors will be coming into town for the season, staycations will be booked, parties and dinners will be planned, and lots of celebrations will be had. There are so many options throughout the city that there really is no wrong choice, but we still have our favorites. Let’s get planning…
House of Blues {329 North Dearborn Street, Chicago; 312.923.2000}
This is a Chicago staple, and there’s no better time to visit than during the holiday season! Aside from their famous Gospel Brunch on the weekends, they also have tons of performances coming up that would entice visitors and Chicago natives alike to come for a visit. No matter if it’s your first or 15th time, you will always find something new to enjoy. It’s also the perfect place for a holiday party—gather a group for a night of good music, good food, and good times.

via The Florentine
The Florentine {151 West Adams Street, Chicago; 312.660.8866}
As the weather gets colder, you just want to stay cozy and warm. You know what’s perfect for that? Pizza, pasta, and most Italian goodies! The Florentine often has special holiday menus, (you can check out their Thanksgiving feast HERE) and don’t miss their Aperitivo Menu of shareable specials every weekday from 4-7pm (see above). If you want a more private dining experience, they have a variety of rooms for that, too! Basically, they have your every holiday need covered.
Juniper Spirits & Oysters {Claridge House Hotel, 1244 North Dearborn Parkway, Chicago; 312.416.5811}
Voted one of the city’s “Best New Bars” by ABC 7 Chicago, Juniper is a full service experience that will have you coming back again and again. Their private dining team will create the ultimate holiday meal in the DaVinci Room, an ideal setting for cocktail receptions, meetings or corporate events, or just a good old fashioned P-A-R-T-Y. Their private dining menu features cocktail and wine packages as well as chef-driven, coastal-inspired, American fare. Dig in!

Z Bar {The Peninsula Chicago, 108 East Superior Street, Chicago; 312.573.6888}
If the view in the photo above doesn’t convince you that Z Bar is worth a visit, we have other reasons too. The event team will take care of your every need, crafting a unique indoor/outdoor experience that can start in the private salon and end out on the terrace. You’ll have amazing city views, seriously tasty craft cocktails, and the city’s best DJs all in one poppin’ party spot. Cheers to that!
52Eighty {Cambria Hotel, 166 East Superior Street, Chicago; 312.787.6000}
If you’re looking for a truly one-of-a-kind holiday party, 52Eighty should be on your shortlist. This epic rooftop bar is only open for private events, and its location in the Cambria Hotel also puts it in the perfect location for out-of-towners. You can celebrate the holiday season up top, then head downstairs and collapse into one of their snuggly suites! With panoramic views of Chicago, upscale catering options, and a sophisticated sense of cheer, your guests will be talking about this year’s holiday party for years to come.
Sterling Caviar
If you’re more of a “stay in and celebrate” type of person, we have something for you, too! Some days are just too cold to venture outside, but that doesn’t mean you shouldn’t be able to celebrate in style. Chicagoans can order Sterling Caviar and have it delivered right to their door! Easy, decadent, and sure to impress any of your holiday guests. Pair it with catering from your favorite Chicago restaurant, and every guest will leave happily in the holiday spirit.
