Maki Mondays at Sunda – Tonight, Monday, March 28

On the last Monday of every month, Sunda {110 West Illinois Street, Chicago; 312.644.0500} welcomes attendees to a hands-on sushi making class. Each Maki Monday begins with a sake tasting where guests are guided through three different types of sake. Then, Sunda’s award-winning chef team helps the group recreate inventive signature sushi rolls like Hamachi Oasis or Red Dragon. Chef David DiGregorio welcomes one of his favorite local breweries, Tighthead Brewing Company, to Osteria Via Stato {620 North State Street, Chicago; 312.642.8450} for an evening of Italian cuisine and beer pairings. South African Winemakers Dinner at Bin 36 – Thursday, March 31

Our favorite wine bar in the city, Bin 36 {161 North Jefferson Street, Chicago; 312.995.6560} is taking their knowledge international this week when they welcome the award-winning Ken Forrester Winery for an intimate six-course meal. Chef Shane Graybeal has created a uniquely delicious menu, including Smoked and Curried Goat Shoulder, Fresh Goat’s Milk Cheese with Red Pepper Jam, and Malva Pudding. Seats are limited, but you can still buy tickets here.

National Grilled Cheese Month at Bull & Bear – Friday, April 1

All throughout April, the classic sandwich will step aside to celebrate National Grilled Cheese Month and Bull & Bear {431 North Wells Street, Chicago; 312.527.5973} will craft a creative menu of crave-quenching sandwiches with one thing in common; melted cheesy goodness. Beginning each week, throughout the month of April, a new sandwich will make its debut and run as a limited special for the week, starting this week with the Poblano Chicken Grilled Cheese starting on Friday.
