The Fourth of July is the epitome of everything we love about summer in the Windy City. Aside from the fact that we get a day off of work, it is also a celebration that usually includes sunshine, great food, fun drinks, and time with friends and family. Because this year’s holiday falls on a Tuesday, many Chicago restaurants are taking advantage and hosting celebrations this weekend and on the big day. So as you make your plans for Independence Day, keep in mind these awesome events and sweet deals for the Fourth of July.

Starting on Friday, June 30th, through the Fourth of July, the Loews Hotel Chicago will be offering special food items on their rooftop restaurant. Dig into a Chili Dog, topped with short rib chili, aged cheddar, green tomato relish, and served with BBQ chips. Or go for the Fried Chicken BLT served Nashville-hot with fresno chili jam-mayo. Sit back and enjoy the stunning city views while you celebrate.

The rooftop Cabana Club is celebrating Independence Day with a can’t-beat poolside barbecue! Head up to the rooftop atop Wicker Park’s, The Robey, for a barbecue feast and house cocktails, all in honor of the US of A. For $30 a person, you can feast on barbecue classics like ribs, corn on the cob, coleslaw, potato salad, baked beans, and biscuits. The deal also includes one beer or signature cocktail like the Mezcal Margarita or Caipirinha! The barbecue starts at 1:00 pm and ends until supplies last, but the fun doesn’t stop there as the restaurant’s regular menu of bites and drinks continues until 11:00 pm. There’s no better place to commemorate the quintessential summer holiday!
