The sun is shining, baseball season has arrived, it is almost the weekend (finally!), and, as a cherry on top, April 7 is National Beer Day. Simply put, there’s no better time for a couple of brews in Chicago! Known for our hometown beers, Chicago houses plenty of bars and restaurants who take pride in their beer list. But a few truly stand out from the pack. These are our top 10 spots to toast to National Beer Day this weekend…

  1. The Publican {837 West Fulton Market, Chicago; 312.733.9555}: This Fulton Market spot is already known for their inventive and delicious menu, but did you also know they have an enviable beer list with brews from around the globe? Food and beer pairings are made easy at The Publican.
  2. Goose Island Taproom {1800 West Fulton Street, Chicago; 800.466.7363}: Visiting Goose Island Tap Room should be a no brainer, but in case you need more incentive, you can get a free Goose Island glass or t-shirt with the purchase of a beer flight when you use our 2019 Passbook! Who doesn’t love free merch?
  3. Adams Street Brewery {17 West Adams Street, Chicago; 312.427.5820}: The Berghoff has always been a must-visit for iconic Chicago restaurants, but they just recently added a new brewery to their offerings. Don’t miss out!
  4. Smoke Daddy {various locations}: Beer and barbecue, the perfect food combo. Smoke Daddy does them both with excellence. Hit their Wicker Park spot for live music throughout the summer, or post up at the Wrigley location for the perfect post-game meal.
  5. Kirkwood Bar & Grill {2934 North Sheffield Avenue, Chicago; 773.770.0700}: There’s something special about Lincoln Park patios. They’re casual and welcoming and always make for a great time. So grab your friends, order some beers, and relax at Kirkwood’s.
  6. Moody Tongue {2136 South Peoria Street, Chicago; 312.600.5111}: It’s not often that the words “beer,” “oysters,” and “cake” are uttered in the description of the same restaurant. But that’s because Moody Tongue isn’t any old brewing company! If you’re looking for truly exotic and unique brews, this is the place to go in Chicago.
  7. Tricycle {1700 North Damen Avenue, Chicago; 773.697.9275}: Who doesn’t love a good neighborhood restaurant? Tricyle is a new-ish addition to the Wicker Park food scene, but they are a welcome one, thanks to shareable bites and great brews.
  8. The Bar at Hotel Zachary {3630 North Clark Street, Chicago; 773.302.2300}: Though a bit more high end than your usual bar, The Bar at Hotel Zachary is a solid hangout for any and all Cubs fans. On Monday, April 8 for the Cubs home opener, they’ll have $19.14 beer buckets with four Half Acre Daisy Cutter beers.
  9. 25 Degrees {736 North Clark Street, Chicago; 312.943.9700}: Burgers and beers, they go together so well! 25 Degrees has a wide range of both, so you can really dig in to this classic combo with gusto.
  10. Columbus Tap {Fairmont Chicago Millennium Park, North Columbus Drive, Chicago; 312.444.9494}: As the name implies, this spot has tons of on-tap options that beer-lovers will love. Located in the heart of downtown, it’s the perfect place to stop in after work and toss a few back.
