Sox fans come from far and wide for game day…and game day food!

If you’re an OG White Sox fan, you would never call it by its current name. Only it’s “real” name: Comiskey Park. But no matter what you call it, it’s home. Home to your team and your sports family. But also home to some seriously delicious fan food! Guaranteed Rate Field has been upping their culinary game for years now, giving White Sox fans plenty to dig into in between innings. Outside the park, that trend has followed suit, with plenty of delicious restaurants to hit up before or after games. As baseball season really gets in full swing, these are the places White Sox fans should keep in mind…
The Ballpark Pub {514 West Pershing Road, Chicago; 773.675.4687}: We couldn’t write this article and NOT mention Ballpark Pub. Started by two “neighborhood boys through and through,” the bar and grill is every Sox fan’s dream. It’s filled with “Bridgeport’s favorite pastimes . . . good sports, good food and good drink.” Cheers!

Stix & Brix {220 West 33rd Street, Chicago; 312.265.0219}: Pizza please! This is a great location to gather with a bunch of pals to watch the game or fuel up before you head into the park. Their wood-fire pizzas are perfect for sharing, and they pair grrrreat with beer! Their Beef & Hot Giardinier pie is especially killer.
Franco’s Ristorante {300 West 31st Street, Chicago; 312.225.9566}: When you get down to it, sports are about family. Your fan family is built on more than blood! It’s built on love and devotion to the same cause. So, Franco’s is the perfect place to bring your Sox family. It’s a family ristorante at it’s heart and serves classic Italian fare that will make anyone feel loved and at home.

nana organic {3267 South Halsted Street, Chicago; 312.929.2486}: Just because you’re eating game day food, doesn’t mean you can’t still eat organically and sustainably. nana focuses on menu items that highlight local and organic ingredients…but they can still get down! Their weekend brunch includes Brioche French Toast, Chilaquiles, their signature “Nanadict”…and of course, mimosas!
Antique Taco {1000 West 35th Street, Chicago; 773.823.9410}: Who doesn’t love a good taco now and then? Antique Taco is a Wicker Park favorite, but their family-run restaurant also brings delicious Mexican flavors to the South Side, and Sox fans.
