June isn’t over yet! That means there is still time to make the most of these amazingly colorful Pride Month specials

Who doesn’t love Chicago Pride? All June-long there are specials and events celebrating the LGBTQ+ community, culminating with the Pride Parade on June 30th. This weekend also marks the official Pride Fest in Boystown, and the celebration will spread across the city thanks to rainbow-themed specials at tons of Chicago restaurants and bars. Support this amazing group of Chicagoans by partaking in these specials through June 30th.

Public House {400 North State Street, Chicago; 312.265.1240}: The nostalgic and ever-popular cake shake is bursting with pride colors with the gastropub’s special June flavor, “Love is Love Cake Shake.” The colorful cake shake is a blue-based shake made with Soft Parade Shandy beer and vanilla ice cream. Then, the glass is smothered in blue and white buttercream and rolled in rainbow sprinkles. The shake is then topped with fruit loops, and a slice of red, orange, yellow, green and blue layered cake and a pinstriped rainbow straw. Your Instagram will never be the same!

Riva Crabhouse {700 East Grand Avenue, Chicago; 312.644.7482}: This Navy Pier favorite has a Rainbow Cocktail all month long, with $1 of the cocktail’s proceeds going to Chicago area LGBTQIA charities. It’s the perfect place to go before the Navy Pier Pride events taking place on June 29th.

BomboBar {various locations}: This dessert must-stop now has locations in Old Town and the West Loop, and is offering a special “Color Me Proud” Bomboloni in June. The Italian doughnut will include a birthday cake filling, sprinkled with rainbow sprinkles and a rainbow swirled lollipop on top.

Bodega {355 North Clark Street, Chicago; 312.561.4666}: Barrio’s market, known for its outrageous churros, is offering the “Berry Proud Churro” for Pride Month. The pride-themed churro is berry-flavored and topped with a yuzu buttercream, rainbow sprinkles, and rainbow stardust glitter.

Cold Storage {1000 West Fulton Market, Chicago; 312.638.6280}: Starting next Monday, June 24, New York’s beloved ice cream shop, Big Gay Ice Cream, will be teaming up with Cold Storage to provide a dairy free Pride Sundae and other specials through the end of the month. All the sweet treats are under $10 and include tasty bites like the Macaron Ice Cream Sandwich, Chocolate & Peanut Butter Ice Cream Pie and Pride Pops made with homemade rainbow sherbet and served with a shot of tequila.

Juniper Spirits & Oysters {1244 North Dearborn Parkway, Chicago; 312.416.5811}: Relax at the Clardige House Hotel’s intimate bar and restaurant (or their epic patio) while you enjoy The Parade! This colorful cocktail is only $10 for the month of June. Made with Titos, Prosecco, blue curaço, grenadine, and topped with orange juice, Claridge House will be donating 20% of all the proceeds from The Parade cocktail to the AIDS Foundation of Chicago.

The Goddess and Grocer {various locations}: The Goddess cake slices are infamous, and for good reason! The Flag Cake Slices are as delicious as they are beautiful. $1 from each slice of rainbow cake sold will benefit the Center on Halsted, a lesbian, gay, bisexual, and transgender community center. They also have Rainbow Flag Cupcakes and other fun, Pride-themed goodies.
