Celebrate the Fourth of July, and summertime in Chicago, with great views from these hot spots

The Fourth of July is a day of celebration across the country, and Chicago is no different. Aside from the parties and drink specials at the city’s best bars and restaurants, there are also fireworks to be watched! On the night of the Fourth of July, Navy Pier will be lighting up the sky with an insane fireworks display. And it doesn’t stop there! Navy Pier does shows like this every week, and these are the best spots to watch the magic…
The Signature Room at the 95th {875 North Michigan Avenue, Chicago; 312.787.9596}: This spot almost shouldn’t need to be listed because it’s such an obvious choice. There really are no better views in the whole city than from up in the clouds. Come for cocktails, stay for the sparkle.

Riva Crab House {700 East Grand Avenue, Chicago; 312.644.7482}: You can’t get more up close and personal with the fireworks than to physically be at Navy Pier when they begin. Their fresh seafood and shareable apps, especially the epic Deluxe Seafood Tower (made with whole Maine lobster, oysters, clams, shrimp cocktail, chili glazed shrimp, King crab legs, crab ceviche, and tuna tartare) are all perfect holiday treats.
Terrace 16 {401 North Wabash Avenue, Chicago; 312.588.8600}: One of the most sought after rooftop locations in the city, Terrace 16 has both an outdoor rooftop and indoor dining area so you can enjoy the views no matter the weather. The menu features “new American flavors, allowing ingredients to speak simply and powerfully for themselves,” which means you will have a delicious meal that focuses on clean and powerful flavors.

Offshore Chicago {Navy Pier, 1000 East Grand Avenue, Chicago; 312.535.6660}: Chicago’s newest rooftop has some of the best lake views in the city, and they are just steps away from the Navy Pier fireworks display to boot. Offshore just recently opened, providing a new summer destination for tourists and locals alike. Their seafood-focused menu has options like oysters, Maine Lobster Deviled Eggs, and other perfect shareable plates.
Cindy’s {12 South Michigan Avenue, Chicago; 312.792.3502}: Come early and stake a claim for these views! Cindy’s is a favorite for tourists so you know it’s going to be packed on the holiday, but still worth a visit. Their custom cocktails have the perfect summer sweetness to celebrate under the setting sun.
