Lollapalooza is almost here. The world of music is about to descend on the Windy City for four days of live jams, dancing under the sun, and digging in to some seriously tasty treats. Because Lolla isn’t just about music, don’t forget! It’s also about eating and drinking and celebrating at some of Chicago’s coolest music venues and bars…

The Berkshire Room {ACME Hotel Company, 15 East Ohio Street, Chicago; 312.894.0945}: Serious music-lovers need a serious cocktail to get them through the weekend, and Berskshire is happy to oblige! The perfect spot if you’re making Lollapalooza a date night or just want to retreat into the relaxing cool of this cocktail bar after a day in the sun.

Castaways {1603 North Lake Shore Drive, Chicago; 773.281.1200}: Cool off at Castaways with a refreshing “Frozen Lolla Lemonade” this weekend! A must-visit spot for a dip in the lake, Castaways serves up drinks until 11pm, and their menu has easy beach-side fare like fresh salads, wraps, sandwiches, quesadillas, and more.

Joy District {112 West Hubbard Street, Chicago; 312.955.0339}: Fest-goers headed to Lollapalooza on Thursday or Friday night are definitely going to want to stop by here for the Lolla pregame happy hour at Parlay from 4-7pm! It includes $7 Don Julio 1942 and Clase Azul shots, $5 White Claw and glasses of select wine, plus $10 pizzas. After splurging on those tickets, this is the perfect place to save while you sip!

The Signature Room at the 95th® {875 North Michigan Avenue, Chicago; 312.787.9596}: The Signature Room on the 95th floor offers respite from the Lolla crowds, complete with summer-inspired craft cocktails. We love the Mandarin Rye Sour with Knob Creek rye bourbon, Mandarin simple syrup, lemon juice, and Mandarin orange wedges and the Passion Fruit Mule with Grey Goose Le Citron vodka, passion fruit syrup, ginger beer, lime juice, mint, and a lime wheel garnish. They make for the perfect way to cool off before a day in the sun.

Z Bar {108 East Superior Street, Chicago; 312.573.6888}: Kick off your Lollapalooza days at Z Bar, the Peninsula Chicago Hotel’s rooftop terrace. The weekend Pre-Lolla Brunch will run from 11:30am-3pm on both Saturday and Sunday, making it the perfect place to come before you head to the stages. Sip on brunch cocktails that pay homage to this year’s headliners, including the the “Ariana Grande,” a slushy made with rum, coffee, Amaretto, and cinnamon, and “The Chainsmokers,” a smoky Bloody Mary made with mezcal and burnt sage. There will also be live DJs starting at noon to really set the mood!

SX Sky Bar {808 South Michigan Avenue, Floor 6, Chicago; 773.633.0214}: Located directly across the street from Grant Park, SX Sky Bar offers an oasis above the crowds at Lollapalooza. Relax with a cocktail and shareable plates in the indoor open-air space with Instagram-worthy décor. Cool off with The Cooler, a refreshing tipple made with Cucumber vodka, Cocalero, and lime. Or you can embrace the summer weather with The Big Heat, a mix of Casamigos Blanco, passion fruit purée, fresh lime, firewater bitters, and a watermelon and Tajín rim.

House of Blues Chicago {329 North Dearborn Street, Chicago; 312.923.2000}: There is no better place for music (and food!) lovers to come for Lolla weekend! From their Jucy Lucy Burger (stuffed with provolone cheese and topped with crispy jalapeños) to their Smokehouse Baby Back Ribs, they will keep your stomach happy. Not to mention, they also have a ton of after-parties and shows, like Rich the Kid with Calboy, for which tickets are still available.
