Wrigleyville is your one-stop destination for every kind of holiday experience this Christmas season. From cuddling fireside under a luxury safari tent with a toasty drink, to tea service for kids and their teddy bears, and brunches for every kind of food craving, who needs to wrestle all that downtown traffic? The holidays are right here in Wrigleyville, and they’re waiting for you…

Hotel Zachary {3630 North Clark Street, Chicago; 773.302.2300}

The holidays, at their very heart, are about creating memories with your loved ones. Hotel Zachary’s Teddy Bear Tea is sure to become an annual tradition. Tea sandwiches, house-made hot chocolate, sweet treats, and a special guest storyteller—wink, wink—will be on hand for this special event for kids. Don’t forget to bring a beloved stuffed animal friend! Adults, don’t despair though—a champagne-inspired tea service featuring Rare Tea Cellars, finger sandwiches, and scones with clotted cream are just a sampling of grownup delights at the ready.

Looking for something a little more mature? Camp Zachary—Hotel Zachary’s collaboration with The Fields of Michigan, the Midwest’s only glamping professionals—offers a one-of-a-kind winter experience in Wrigleyville. Sip a craft cocktail, snuggle up beside a fire cauldron, and make merry under a classic canvas tent for one enchanted afternoon or evening.

Big Star {3640 North Clark Street, Chicago; 773.857.7120}

This tequila-and-taco-slinging, late-night honky tonk is perfect for adding a little Feliz Navidad to your holiday spirit? Big Star is hosting Brunch with Santa Claus every Sunday in December from 11am to 1pm—complete with hot chocolate bar, a cookie decorating station, photos with you-know-who, and plenty of à la carte holiday cocktails for the ‘big’ kids. When you’re finished feasting with “the man in red,” stop by the Big Star Tree Lot for Christmas trees, wreaths, garlands, and more festive accessories. Take your spoils with you or schedule a home delivery—just get there before the goodies are gone!

West Town Bakery {3626 North Clark Street, Chicago; 773.269.5415}

Can there be too many Kris Kringle encounters? We think not. Join West Town Bakery on December 7 from 12:30 to 1:30pm for a Christmas Bakery Brunch with Santa. Afterwards, hit up the West Town Winter Market with your candy cane souvenir in hand (and some Red Velvet Cakeballs), before continuing on your jolly way.

Dutch & Doc’s {3600 North Clark Street, Chicago; 773.360.0207}

The Balena Italian Holiday Feast at Dutch & Doc’s is a once-in-a-wonderland event. Remembering the beloved eatery that was forced to close its doors back in 2017, Dutch & Doc’s is hosting a seasonal pop-up menu from Balena through the end of the year. Get in, get festive, and get your favorites while you can.

Smoke Daddy {3636 North Clark Street, Chicago; 773.227.2583}

One of Chicago’s best barbecue joints is getting down with the Christmas spirit. The Smoke Daddy Santa Brunch on December 8 will feature signature family-style favorites, like the Pulled Pork Benedict and bottomless “Smokin’ Mary” Bloody (with pony bottle of beer and smoked brisket garnish), plus visits from Buddy the Elf and his beloved North Pole employer, Santa.

Maddon’s Post {1119 West Waveland Avenue, Chicago; 773.269.5370}

The Italian and Polish-inspired lineup at Maddon’s Post includes Seasonal Spritzes and Winter Warm Up events like classic holiday movie showings with boozy hot chocolate. Combine those with desserts like Plum Jam Kolazcki, and a North Pole Express mailbox for the kids, and you’ve got a great day planned!

For special event lovers, the Off Color Beer Dinner on December 17 is a four-course meal, pairing beers from Off Color Brewing with Maddon menu favorites. It’s a jolly season, indeed.
