St. Patrick’s Day passed in a flash, but that means sports fans can now turn all their attention to March Madness festivities. Brackets have been filled out, and games have officially tipped off, but basketball lovers still have weeks of tension and celebration ahead of them as the tournament heats up.

As food and drink lovers know, every good sports game deserves a corresponding cocktail to really set the winning tone.  Whiskey cocktail expert J.P. Wiser’s, a brand served in bars across Chicago, has stepped up to the plate (or free throw line) with easy cocktail recipes to serve at a watch party or ask for in a bar this year.

Below are the brand’s best March Madness themed cocktails to make at home, plus the top bars in the city to catch a game (and grab a drink) during the tournament.

MARCH MADNESS GAME TIME COCKTAILS

J.P. Wiser’s Buzzer Beater (above)

Combine 1-1/2 parts J.P. Wiser’s with 4 parts ginger beer and a squeeze of a quarter of lime in a highball glass over ice. Garnish with a lime wedge.

J.P. Wiser’s Nothing But Net (pictured at the start of this piece)

Mix 1 part J.P. Wiser’s with 2 parts cola (Pepsi or Coca Cola, based on preference) and 1/4 part Malibu rum in a highball glass over ice. Squeeze in half a lime and garnish with a lime wedge.

Combine equal parts J.P. Wiser’sorange juice, and cream soda in a highball glass over ice. Garnish with an orange half-moon.

J.P. Wiser’s Fast Break (below)

Combine 1-1/2 parts J.P. Wiser’s with 1 part apple juice and cranberry juice in a highball glass over ice and top with soda. Garnish with a lemon wedge.
